Electrical Controls Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team!

MNA Controls is a controls integration firm operating in industrial, pharmaceutical, aerospace, and adjacent markets. We provide engineering, fabrication, and commissioning services as a single-source provider or in support of larger project teams, with the audit-ready documentation and technical accountability that regulated, high-performance environments require.

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team!

  1. 01Responsible for supporting in all aspects of engineering design from concept planning to completion for designated projects, specific to the discipline of electrical engineering.
  2. 02Develop electrical control designs that are compliant with engineering standards, practices, and codes.
  3. 03Realize designs through translation of requirements and design specifications, coordinating across disciplines to ensure project scope is met.
  4. 04Read and edit logic diagrams, wiring diagrams. Single lines and P&ID's.
  5. 05Prepare drawings, technical specifications, and other visual aids.
  6. 06Prepare and present technical presentation to internal and external stakeholders.
  7. 07Develop bill-of materials.
  8. 08Perform factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests of electrical equipment and electrical installations.
  9. 09Execute preventative maintenance plans at customer facilities. Document results.
  10. 10Calibrate gas sensors, flame sensors, and other safety devices at customer facilities.
  11. 11Assist with installation of controls panels and control devices.
  12. 12Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in systems.
  13. 13Comply with all aspects of the company safety program, including but not limited to: hazard communication, PPE requirements, and scheduled safety training.
  14. 14Keep supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress.
  15. 15Stay current on engineering developments, technology, materials, trends, and regulations.
  16. 16Provide mentoring to team members as needed.
  17. 17Additional duties as assigned.
  1. 01Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology
  2. 02Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. 03Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and effectively work and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
  4. 04Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  5. 05Understanding of electrical schematics and ability to troubleshoot failures.
  6. 06Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills; able to analyze and resolve problems in a timely manner
  7. 07Ability to travel up to 30%, with occasional overnight travel.
  8. 08Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  9. 09Must have reliable transportation to conduct client site visits.
